Year 4 pupils in class 11 and 12 went to Beamish to test and display the K-Nex cranes which they had designed, tested and made over the  last few months in their STEM lessons. 

They had a lovely day in the (very) warm weather, enjoying the delights of Beamish including making their own ice-cream, paper rockets and also enjoying the 1950’s playground, a tram ride and even seeing inside some of the 1950s houses. 

The designs met all of the criteria and they were even told that their turning mechanism was the best they had seen from any school.
