Life Science Centre Visit

June 8, 2026

The Year 5 and Year 6 pupils in Classes 13, 14 and 15 visited the Life Science Centre in Newcastle.

During their visit they looked at Space, touched some moon rock, and saw what life was like on the International Space Station- even trying some real space snacks!  They looked at heat and how light reacts as we move.  They had a Lab session where they tested how water proof the astronauts’ ‘nappies’ were- by tipping them upside down over Mr Farrington’s head! Such a brilliant day which was enjoyed by everyone.

The children were fabulous- a real credit to Archibald and members of the public even made comments about their impeccable behaviour. Well done Classes 13, 14 and 15 and thank you to Mrs Petch for organising such a great visit.
