The phrase Reduce, Reuse, Recycle is often used when we talk about how to be more environmentally friendly, how to be greener, how to be ecologically sound and how to live sustainably. These are all important messages as we strive to sustain our planet for our futures so we have taken these as the key areas for our challenges this year.
As in previous years the challenge this year is to work as a family to find out as much as you can about how you can make a difference, through reducing, re-using and recycling in order to help sustain the future of our planet.
For each challenge completed pupils will earn a special 'Our Planet Our Future' Marvellous Me award on the Marvellous me app. There will be special family award if you complete at least one challenge for each of the 4 categories.
In order to earn your Marvellous Me Awards you can bring evidence into school (for example any lists you make, things to donate to our recycle collections and your recycle robot) or you can email evidence in the form of photographs or short video to our school email account: archibald@mcschools.org.uk
Please put 'Family Challenge 2019' and the name of the teacher/s to forward the email to in the subject line in order to help ensure it reaches the right person quickly.
If you do not want your evidence to appear on our website or social media pages please include this information in your email.
Evidence of completed challenges will also be displayed on a special display in our main entrance which will be continually updated.
Please remember that this is a family challenge so all members of the family are encouraged to take part (including parents, carers and older brothers and sisters) and each pupil in the family that contributes will gain credit for the challenge so there is no need to repeat challenges for every child in the family.

The 'Our Planet – Our Future' Family Challenge 2019 will be launched on Friday 17th May 2019. All evidence needs to be submitted by Friday 7th June so that awards can be prepared in time for Friday 14th June. If you have any questions about the Family Challenge please speak to your child’s class teacher.
