The Pre-School children enjoyed exploring the pumpkin as part of a special Halloween themed ‘Messy Play Friday’ on
the last day of the half term before Halloween. They used words such as "slimy" and "sticky" to describe as
they explored the pumpkin, inside and out!
To make the day ext5ra exciting, the children wore their Halloween costumes for the pre-School sessions. Messy play is extremely important for a child's development and takes place each Friday in Pre-School. It provides children with a tactile and sensory experience that inspires curiosity, allows them to explore the world around them and enhances their learning, language and creativity.
It has been a hit with the children and the parents alike!
The experiences are changed weekly according to the children's needs and interest at the time.
