Students from Archibald visited Macmillan Academy to watch a special performance of the well known Shakespeare play "The Comedy of Errors".
On 13th and 14th November, we were delighted to visit the Royal Shakespeare Company at Macmillan Academy for their touring production of The Comedy of Errors; a twin-tastic 90 minutes of comic confusion and mistaken identity and one of Shakespeare's funniest plays. Young performers from Macmillan Academy and Archibald Primary joined the professional cast in this unique and exciting collaboration which for most of the young people was their first exposure to Shakespeare in performance. The play was a delight to watch, with plenty of audience participation, lots of music and hilarious slapstick comedy and a fabulous set which helped the cast to create the different locations and journeys for the characters. We very much hope that the RSC will be back again next year for another fabulous production here in Middlesbrough. Watch this space. . .
