Free School Meals Applications
Did you know that if your child is eligible for Free School Meals you could save over £450 each year? Not only do you gain but our school also gains -
as we receive additional funding to our school budget for each eligible pupil. This funding helps with purchasing resources, enhances staffing levels
and subsidises school visits.
Eligibility for Free School Meals is based on one of the following benefits:
- Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from up to three
of your most recent assessment periods)
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- The guarantee element of Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (provided you're not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
- Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for four weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit

To complete an application you will need to provide:
- Your own name and date of birth
- Contact details
- National Insurance Number or National Asylum Seekers Number
- Child's name and date of birth
- School your child is attending
If you need help with your application please contact the school office, and with your permission (and relevant information), our admin team can make
an application on your behalf.
If you are currently not claiming but think your child/ren may be eligible, please make an application.
If your child is in Reception, Y1 or Y2 and entitled to Universal Free School Meals, please also apply as our school budget will still benefit,
and you will not need to reapply when your child gets to Y3.
If your child/ren are eligible, their eligibility lasts for 6 years even if your situation changes.
